In The Beginning

Every good story has a beginning, a middle, and an end (“the rules” say usually in that order). I struggle with beginnings. Mysteries, love stories, even Peanuts comics don’t get good until halfway through! I revel in endings that leave me breathless and wanting more (um, still waiting for more Harry Potter novels). But then, to start again? To commit myself to a new world while I am still living so vibrantly in another, more familiar land? To speak plainly, it makes me cranky.

This story is my story. I have thought for years about what writing my story would look like. My worries and wins lie in the everyday realm. The choices I must make as a mom, a business owner, a wife, a daughter, and a woman make or break me. I think, for the most part, yours do too. My photography and my passion is about recognizing and celebrating the everyday. What better story to write than the one happening right now?

So I am inviting you into the middle of my story, as though we are old friends and introductions are not needed. We will get to know one another over time, through stories, and with a glass of wine in hand. ‘Til next time…
